      Finally, California State University Dominguez Hills has been invaded by the immortal rock legends, the Rolling Stones. Sort of.
     While Stone’s front man Mick Jagger and guitarist Keith Richards may not be on campus physically, their spirits are definitely felt in new assistant professor of English Kimberly Huth’s class on Shakespeare.

Wondering what to do between classes? Here's what is happening:


  • The Art and Design Faculty Exhibition runs through Oct. 7 in the University Art Gallery, LaCorte Hall, A-107. The exhibit is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free.
  • Dance Latin-style with Toro Productions 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday nights in the Loker Student Union room DBA.
  • Meet University President Willie J. Hagan and other CSUDH representatives at ASI’s Pizza with the Presidents event at noon Oct. 1 in the Palm Courtyard. All students are welcome.
  • International Coffee Break with Multicultural Center is noon to 2 p.m. Oct. 1 in the Loker Student Union room 110.
  • “Laugh it Off” study break is 2:30 p.m. Oct. 2 in the Women’s Resource Center room SCC 148. The break will include the screening of a comedy movie to “get us in a happy mood.”
  • Mix and Mingle with the Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority at 7:22 p.m. Oct. 6 in the Loker Student Union.
  • Toro Tabling with ASI featuring games, giveaways and KDHR is 1 to 2:30 p.m. Oct. 7 on the East Walkway.

     California State University Dominguez Hills purchased its first 20 pairs of Google Glass to incorporate into teaching programs this spring, becoming the first in the United States to test the advanced headsets in a large academic setting.
