  • Percussionist Miguel A. Hernandez will present his senior recital 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22 in LCH A103. $2 admission.
  • ASI’s Commuter Student Outreach event will be held 5 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, in parking lot 2. Free coffee and donuts will be provided along with a chance to win a gas card.

  • The Art and Design Department will host a guest lecture with prominent Los Angeles designer Chris Do at 6 p.m. Dec. 2, Loker Student Union ballroom.
  • CSUDH will be hosting Toro Tank fashioned after NBC's "Shark Tank" 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 4 in the Loker Student Union Ballroom C.
  • Crossing Borders: "Stories of Migration in Contemporary Art” will run through Dec. 4 in the University Art Gallery. The exhibit features works focusing on migration and immigration. Contact Gallery Director Kathy Zimmerer-McKelvie at (310) 243-3334 for more information.

Academic Senate

focuses on change

New program that predicts

student success, double

counting courses and plans

for new building on campus

discussed at this week’s meeting.

      Approximately 40 members of the Academic Senate braved the stuffy ballroom in the Loker Student Union ballroom Thursday to discuss important topics regarding the academic affairs on campus.
      The meeting began with California State
University Dominguez Hills senate chair Jerry Moore speaking briefly about the All About the Students Conference that took place Nov. 13 to 14 and the recent implementation of the Educational Board Advisory program for academic advisors on campus.
