PRESIDENT’S LETTER

Dear Campus Community,
This election season has been trying and tumultuous for many of us in the CSUDH family and extended community as we have listened to the candidates, examined the issues, and tried to determine the best path forward for our society.
Although the national process has been divisive at times, our CSUDH community is a source of light and tolerance where all views can be expressed, heard, and respected. The university is a place for discourse, upholding the high principles of academia to serve as a safe space for the exchange of ideas with the opportunity to learn, grow together, and understand the world and one another on a deeper level.
With any election results there are mixed emotions. We encourage you to get together, share, discuss, listen, and continue to strive for what you believe in while seeking common ground. Despite differing opinions we are all part of this experience and we all share in the final outcome.
Willie J. Hagan, Ph.D.
President
