The Cal State Dominguez Hills Center for Service-Learning, Internships & Civic Engagement (SLICE) and CSUDH Jumpstart have made it their mission to bring joy to those in need each holiday season.
In previous years, the mission was to provide goods for the homeless.
Though they had great success, this year the mission is called “Totes for Tots,” which is aimed at brightening the lives of under-privileged children during the holidays.
The season can be tough for some but this is a way others can give back.
Totes for Tots’ mission is to provide 150 preschoolers with a toy each. All gifts will go to the preschoolers, based out of the city of Compton, who work directly with CSUDH’s Jumpstart for Young Children program.
Those interested can help by spreading the word, donating a gift or a gift card. If you need any gift ideas, please contact the SLICE office.
Those interested in volunteering should contact Miami Gatpandan or Cheryl McKnight by email.
Please bring all donations to the SLICE office at SCC 300.
