The LokerStudent Union hosted a virtual scavenger hunt on Wednesday and Thursday scavenger hunt promoted the LSU open house event that took place from 10 a.m to 6 p.m.

The purpose of the game was to highlight different resource centers around campus, said Gloria Medina, program coordinator.

The rules of the game were simple, just follow the LSU’s Instagram account where hourly clues would be posted. Those who chose the correct answer in a comment by 6 p .m. would win a prize.  A rose and chocolate were given to students who visited the location associated with the clue.

Some of the prizes included a Bluetooth speaker, LA Galaxy tickets, campus dining and book store gift card and an Apple Watch, according to their Instagram account.

On Wednesday, some of the locations the scavenger hunt highlighted were the Multicultural Affairs, LSU Informational Desk, TV lounge and the university book store. Thursday, students visited the meditation room, Associated Students Inc, Queer Culture Resource Center and the KDHR radio station.

The open house also offered free food for their Instagram followers, a photo booth fun in the east walkway and a live concert. Daniel Morris, a pop viola player entertained the crowd while they hung out in the food court with covers like “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri and “My Heart Will Go On “by Celine Dion.

Students enjoyed the virtual game.

“It was fun trying to figure out the clues,” Connie Benitez, a sociology major said. “Especially because it’s my second year here and I had never been to some of the locations we had to find. It allowed me to know the campus a little better.”

Others really got a kick out Morris’ two hours performance.

“It’s not an everyday thing where I get to eat my lunch and watch this handsome man play beautiful music. It was a great valentines touch,” Stephanie Roeun, a business major said.
