Are you looking for a job on campus or do you know of someone who is?
Cal State Dominguez Hills is always looking for student employees to fill campus jobs.
Many individuals may remember “ToroJobs,” a website established to help students find work. However, Dominguez Hills has recently incorporated “Handshake,” a free online job and internship posting service.
The new-and-improved website is set up to look like a social media portal so that students can relate to the interface and find everything they need.
Handshake allows users to upload profiles with pictures, work experience and organizations/extracurricular activities.
Important documents like a resume, cover letter or letters of recommendation can also be uploaded to make it easier to apply for jobs.
Each job listing includes the description of responsibilities, qualifications and compensation.
The employer preference tab on the right of each application is also valuable when determining if this is the right job for you.
You are also able to “favorite” or save job listings that you are interested in viewing again in the future.
Keep in mind, Handshake is constantly updating current job postings and may change daily.
Those interested, or who need further information, can stop by the Career Center in Welch Hall, Room D-360.
